Donor RecognitionUtah Valley University gratefully honors the generous support of alumni and friends who advance achievement in education and public service by making outright and/or deferred gifts. The university has established recognition societies to thank these individuals and to promote the importance of philanthropy at UVU.
The Lifetime Giving Societies is UVU's most prestigious donor recognition organization. Through the Societies, the university honors the leadership and extraordinary support of alumni, friends, faculty and staff. Private donors have a vital role in shaping the university's future, and the Societies provide the means to recognize its most generous supporters.
Individuals are inducted into one of five societies. Societies members have made a special commitment of leadership, involvement and personal resources to ensure UVU's strength as a leading teaching university.
Individuals can become members based on their outright cumulative giving over time to any college or program via the UVU Foundation. Cumulative giving is calculated based on gifts received through the fiscal year ending June 30, and totals include employer matching gifts. Qualifying gifts include:
The President's Circle Platinum Level honors lifetime cumulative gifts that exceed $1 million in cash or in-kind donations.
Platinum $1,000,000+
The President's Circle Platinum Level honors lifetime cumulative gifts that exceed $1 million in cash or in-kind donations.
Gold Circle $250,000 - $999,999
The President's Circle Gold Level honors lifetime cumulative gifts that equal $250,000-$999,999 in cash or in-kind donations.
Silver Circle $50,000 - 249,999
The President's Circle Silver Level honors lifetime cumulative gifts that equal $50,000-$249,999 in cash or in-kind donations.
Bronze Circle $25,000 - $49,000
The Wilson Sorensen Society, created in 2004, honors irrevocable planned gifts of $150,000 or more. Review Planned Gift Options
