With 20 years of marketing and communications experience, Kara Schneck is a seasoned professional whose award-winning campaigns have helped a variety of companies achieve their business objectives. She began her career with the New York City based public relations firm, Middleton & Gendron where she worked with top multinational consumer and service clients. In her current role as the head of corporate communications for Nu Skin, a $1.5 billion publicly traded company; Kara oversees global communications for key company constituencies.
As part of communicating Nu Skin's corporate social responsibility efforts, Kara has been instrumental in focusing the efforts of Nu Skin's Force for Good Foundation to improve the lives of children by offering hope for a life free from disease, illiteracy and poverty. Her fundraising leadership has helped the foundation provide more than $1 million in annual grants to worthwhile children's programs. Kara has shared her expertise with the direct selling industry by serving as chair of the Direct Selling Association's (DSA) communications committee from 2008-2010. Under her leadership the committee continued to infuse energy into the DSA's Image Enhancement initiative through an intensive media outreach effort extolling the benefits of selling and purchasing through the direct selling channel, and an education and awareness initiative targeted to the financial community, as well as a focused effort to communicate the industry's code of ethics. Kara received her Bachelor's degree in communications from Brigham Young University. Originally from San Diego, Kara and her husband Mark live in Utah County and are the proud parents of three daughters. |
