Cynthia Gambill moved to the United States from Argentina, Buenos Aires during her first year of college. She graduated from University of Utah with BS in Business Management while initiating her career working as a Marketing Director for BNA Consulting Engineers. After graduating, she was offered the position of General Manager in that company. While performing those duties, she obtained her Master’s in Business Administration from Brigham Young University. After 15 years of experiencing Corporate America, she met her husband, Tyler Gambill and moved to Southern California. There she was offered the position of Director of Marketing for the Western Division of Musco Sport Lighting; the only international firm that manufactures permanent sport lighting. Meanwhile, the owners of the University Mall, in Orem, Utah, offered Tyler and Cynthia a space to build a Salon and Day Spa. This opportunity allowed the Gambill's to move back to Utah and enjoy owning a business together. Remedez HairSpa opened in the Fall of 2002 with 12 employees. Remedez has been awarded "The Best of State" for seven consecutive years; the "Salon 200 Award", a national organization based in Chicago that reviews salons' growth throughout the country. Remedez was given the Fastest Growing Salon and Day Spa Award in the country for the last four years. They are now the proud parents of four sons, ages 12 through 7 years old and reside in Alpine, Utah. Cynthia believes that being involved in the community through service is the only way to give back to the very community that has given her an education, a career and a family. She holds several advisory positions on several non for profit organizations throughout Utah County. She is also the Chair of the "Women in Philanthropy of Utah County" an organization, that is committed to help the community by helping women and children in need. Cynthia was also named one of the most influential women making a difference in the community by the "Women Celebrating Life" organization. She is a regular contributor to the Utah Valley Magazine's "Beauty and Wellness" section, where she mainly encourages both men and women to: "Take time for yourself, and Give Yourself the Gift of Time". In 2007 Cynthia was awarded the "Business Woman of the Year" by the Utah County Business Community. |
